Maids of Honor
Whitney Cole & Tiffany Lim
"'Best friend' is a tier." - Benjamin Franklin
Whit and Tiff are Lindsey's best friends. They met Sophomore year of college when they were randomly assigned as neighbors. S/O to Gutheridge Hall! Chances are, if you've been invited to this wedding, then you likely know that Whitney, Lindsey and Tiffany come as a set...a "tripod," if you will. And while many girls leave their codependent friendships behind in college, we chose the path less traveled on and took it from DC to SF together in 2013. Although Tiffany recently moved back to NYC to be closer to her "real family," she still makes it back for big events!! Whitney lives in San Francisco but comes out to Walnut Creek for sunshine and weekend hangouts.
Sarafay and Lindsey met at the first law school sanctioned kegger. Over the last several years, the keggers have faded but their love has grown. Sarafay has introduced Lindsey to trendy bands, park days, and, best of all, to Trevor! S/O to Camp Newman for bringing all of us together!
Emalie and Lindsey also became friends in law school. Lindsey and Emalie bonded over their similar upbringings, love for Anthropologie, and Lindsey's love of Emalie's homemade cooking! If Lindsey has made a delicious meal or dish recently, odds are it can be traced back to Emalie.
Lindsey and Alexis met on the very first day of law school. To hear them tell it, they saw each other on the bus on the way to law school first. Lindsey was thinking to herself, "damn, that girl is so fashionably dressed for law school...I thought we were allowed to wear fleece's to work out here.." and Alexis, simultaneously, was thinking," I'm freezing, that girl looks comfy in her North Face." We met in line at orientation and spent all of law school together!
Maci and Lindsey are cousins! They grew up together and were virtually inseparable during the summer from birth through junior high. At ages 7 & 5, respectively, the two could be seen nose-diving from the top of Maci's steep driveway in their Sunday Best on Easter. For more stories, turn to the closest Aunt and ask!
Nikky is Lindsey and Maci's younger cousin and thus, they've known each other since birth! Over time, they bonded over their love for animals, parties, and family hangouts. Nikky and Lindsey will likely be found on the dance floor or hanging near the open bar!
Allison is Trevor's sister and Lindsey's future sister-in-law! Allison is likely the most frequent visitor of all of Lindsey and Trevor's apartments across the Bay. She's also a go-to friend when you need someone to tell you not to feel guilty about social obligations and Dexter's favorite auntie!
Brandon and Trevor met when they were awkward teenagers in 2003, and have been best friends ever since. Brandon and Trevor met at Camp Swig, and went to summer camp together at Camp Newman for another 5 years. They visited college together as seniors in high school, lived across the hall Freshman year, joined the same fraternity (AEPi, of course), and have been the constant in each other’s lives ever since. When Trevor first told Brandon about Lindsey, Brandon immediately told Trevor this wedding was going to happen. Brandon lives in LA, and they make trips to see each other as much as they can.
John and Trevor met when they were working at Amazon in Reno, and became close friends immediately. They lived together in Reno, lived a few blocks away from each other in San Francisco, and worked together for years. John has always been a great sounding board for Trevor and has helped him work through things, ranging from anything work related, life related, or relationship related. John finally met Lindsey a few months into Trevor and her relationship, and was immediately blown away at the level of cohesiveness - and that feedback really made Trevor realize how lucky he was to be in this relationship. John and his wife Ingrid have recently moved to Pennsylvania after he took a new job to work with some of the people they worked with when John and Trevor first met.
Beto Salazar Poss
Beto was right there as an awkward teen with Trevor and Brandon at Camp Swig in 2003. They also visited school together, lived across the hall Freshman year, and joined the same fraternity. When Trevor moved to San Francisco he moved in with Beto - so Beto was the first to really see Trevor and Lindsey as a couple. Now Beto is an Assistant Director at Camp Newman, allowing awkward teens to become best friends so they can be in each other’s weddings years later.
Evan and Trevor “knew of each other” in high school through Jewish youth group connections (oh hey BBYO!), and actually got to know each other Freshman year of college when they lived in the same building and joined the same fraternity. They lived together for a year in college, and stayed extremely close when Trevor finally moved to San Francisco. One of Trevor’s goals was to find a girl who had the same music taste as Evan, which he finally found in Lindsey.
Joe Penn and Trevor also met at camp and joined the same fraternity (is anyone sensing a theme??). If anyone is looking for a stereotypical fraternity story, ask Joe how Trevor treated him when Joe was rushing AEPi and Trevor was already a member. Joe has been an excellent friend to Trevor over the years, and is the one person who visited Trevor in all the random places he’s lived - Sparks, Reno, Patterson - no matter what, Joe came to visit. Joe was also there for the beginning of Trevor and Lindsey’s relationship, including the night they met (along with Evan and Beto).
Brendan is Lindsey’s brother, who is in his sophomore year of college at Sonoma State. Brendan is one of the first of Lindsey’s family members that Trevor met, and immediately made him feel welcome and comfortable any time he visited. Now that Brendan lives less than 2 hours from Lindsey and Trevor, they’re able to spend a lot of time together.
Logan is Lindsey’s brother, who is graduating from Point Loma University in December 2018. Logan also made Trevor feel immediately welcome to the family. While Logan is in San Diego and a bit further away, they have still seen each other a good amount, most notably in Vegas for Logan’s 21st birthday, where Lindsey and Trevor were able to join Logan in his element with all of his friends.
